Aftercare

Most books end and then they leave.

You close the last page and whatever came up for you — whatever the story surfaced, whatever feelings you didn’t know were waiting — you’re on your own with it.

I didn’t want to do that to you.

In the back of She Stayed Past Curfew, you will find something I have never seen in a novel before: a full aftercare section, written directly to the reader.

It includes:

  • Content warnings — detailed, specific, and non-judgmental

  • A note from Jordan — written to the reader who recognizes themselves in this story

  • Discussion questions — for book clubs, classroom use, or just for thinking

  • A JW glossary — because Serenity's world has its own language, and you deserve to understand it fully

  • Resources — because this book might bring things up, and you should not be alone with them

This section is not an afterthought. It is part of the book.

Because you are not just a reader. You are a person. And this story was written with that in mind.
